Specialist Services
Sarah has over 20 years of experience in the field of criminal and forensic psychology. She regularly completes specialist assessments and forensic assessments for the Courts and the New Zealand Parole Board. Her experience includes completing psychological risk assessments for offending behaviour, neuropsychological screenings, mental health assessments, and formal report writing. Sarah has worked in both prisons and the community, with experience working with male and female, as well as adult and youth offenders.
Sarah specialises in the assessment of a range of offending behaviours, including:
Violence
Sexual offending
Family violence
Drug-related offending
General offending
Sarah accepts referrals from legal counsel, government agencies and self-referrals.

Psychological Treatment
Sarah provides individual psychological treatment. Sarah will work from a brief therapy model and will provide a detailed treatment plan prior to the commencement of treatment. She will support you to reach your desired goals across six to twelve sessions. Should further sessions be required, she will discuss this with you in advance.
Sarah will spend the initial session exploring what has prompted you to seek help and considering which approach will be best to help you achieve your goals or enhance your wellbeing. This involves finding out what is important to you, where you want to get to, your values and strengths, as well as exploring your difficulties and the issue that has
resulted in you deciding to seek help. Sarah is approved by ACC to provide psychological therapy.
Sessions are 50 minutes in duration. If you are unable to attend your session, 24 hours’ notice is required, or the full fee will be charged.
Telepsychology is available via a telecommunication technologies such as telephone, secure email, and/or videoconferencing.

Supervision and Consultation
Sarah provides supervision for psychologists and other health professionals. Sarah has experience in providing both individual clinical supervision and supervision of group treatment programmes. Supervision can be provided in person or via telehealth.
Sarah is currently not accepting New Referrals at this time.
